Mark Joyner wrote an interesting book on how to increase your success in sales called “The Irresistible Offer”. Anyone that has been in sales for a length of time understands that there are very few top salesmen that hit the top income levels by accident. The Network Marketing MLM Home Based Business Leaders have found a formula that they apply daily to their business daily and they repeat this system over and over again. Some of these leaders may not even be aware of what they are doing that carries the most impact on their success what they are doing it just the same.


In his book, Mark speaks of the irresistible offer requiring three components:

  1. A high ROI – Return on Investment
  2. A Touchstone
  3. Believability


Eban Pagan a well-known marketer, copywriter, sales trainer and highly successful entrepreneur talks about moving the free Line. So what does it mean to be “Move The Free Line in marketing? Eban gives away so much free stuff that is of such high value you can’t help but think what he’s giving this stuff away for free imagine what he would be giving me if I was paying for it. Moving the free line is exactly what Mark is talking about when he says a high ROI – it means giving more value to your customer that he is paying for. It is about giving your prospect so much of value that it becomes difficult to say no hence “The Irresistible Offer”.


An example of a Touch Stone (a strong statement of value to the prospect) such as Domino Pizza’s guarantee of getting you a pizza to your door in 30 minutes or it’s free. Another example that Mark gave was that of Columbia House giving a customer 10 CDs for a penny.


The third component of believability will include one or more of the following:

  1. Social Proof
  2. Technical Proof
  3. Factual Proof


Too often Network Marketing MLM Home Based Business newbies confuse features with benefits and then they wonder after they’ve puked all over their prospect for 30 minutes on the wonderful benefits of their company and services or products why the Prospect ran away or said no or let me think about it. When presenting your Network Marketing/MLM Business it is important to identify why the prospect is looking to get into a home based business. The ROI (or return on investment) is an individual determination. We need to determine the prospects problem and then, confidently, clearly and concisely demonstrate in conversation why we have the unique ability to help them achieve their solution.


Enormous credibility is gained by the use of a third-party often the experienced leader in your team is able to share why joining with you is the best choice they could make. A Touchstone comment might be something like When you work with us failure is not an option.


Having an experienced and successful leader helping a new network marketing consultant present the business in the beginning can also be very helpful because they can speak to the fact that they have trained and it helped many people become successful. When asked questions specific to compensation plan and products etc. they can speak with authority. These leaders can also cite examples of how these products or services but they market have had a positive impact on their customers.


People just getting started in a Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business  have a tendency of worrying too much about presenting their business incorrectly and as a result many never even get started. There is not one successful person involved in marketing that was perfect at presenting when they first began. I want to be very clear that having a leader to assist a new marketer in doing calls can be very instrumental in getting a new marketer in achieving initial success. When your leader is assisting you listen for the three components of an irresistible offer so that when you make your presentations your offer is also compelling.


The majority of people that enter into marketing and sales fail and quit a small portion have modest success and an even smaller segment achieve unimaginable incomes. Training, commitment, passion and a willingness to work after everybody has gone home typically separates the winners from the losers.
