
In this article I am going to provide you with some network marketing training that will give you a very simple MLM success strategy to present your business that without question will:
- Eliminate Rejection
- Not Offend or Annoy people that you know
- Give You an Endless Supply of leads
- Not Require You to Wear Goofy Badges, hats or T-shirts
- Make Prospecting An Enjoyable Activity
- Eliminate Fear and Anxiety
- Eliminate the Need to Make Your Car into a Mobile Billboard
Have you ever had somebody come up to you with one of those crazy flashing badges that says something stupid like “Ask Me About My Business”? Have you ever been to one of those family “get-togethers” where one of the extended family is determined to sell you their bottle of vitamins, skin care cream or perhaps some product that’s guaranteed cleanse your bowels and make you feel 20 years younger? Have you ever had a call from a friend that is absolutely relentless about getting you to join his or her multilevel marketing business?
Sadly a lot of people to get involved in an MLM business receive this kind of network marketing training and not surprisingly these same people fail within the first two months of their initial attempt to market the products or services their company has. When I look back to my early days in marketing I can’t help but smile because I was willing to do all of the above and did most of them. In fact, it’s amazing I have any friends left because I was very obnoxious and single-minded in my marketing efforts.
This MLM success strategy is so obvious that it’s amazing so few people that are involved in network marketing don’t use it. The strategy is called “Networking” hence the term network marketing (….hmmmmm it does have a familiar ring doesn’t it?). Okay I’m sure you want me to explain myself a little bit more so here goes. Rather than approaching people and directly pitching your product or service, start off by getting to know the person. Find out as much as you can through casual conversation and so that you can use a referral-based technique.
An example of this MLM success strategy would be for you to join a Network Marketing Group, a Local Chamber of Congress Group, a Non–Profit Group, in other words find a group within your community that could be potential customers of your product or services. Participate in their weekly or monthly functions on a social level without any intention of presenting your business. Introduce yourself to the people in these groups learning as much about them as you can in a sincere social way. Your participation in these events must be kept at a social level not like you’re doing some covert sales research.
When possible, exchange business cards with the people that you meet and for those that don’t have business cards exchanged phone numbers – this is what friends do. The following day/week get back into contact with the people that you have met. If the person that you met has a website go to it and look it over. When you call the person up you could say something like:
Hi John this is (your name) it was great to meet you and I really enjoyed our conversation last night. (Reconnect by bringing up any funny story or interesting conversation that you shared). John and I went to your website and it looks great! I would love to get together with you for 10 minutes and share with you the business that I’m involved in so that you know what I’m doing and then maybe we could refer business to each other. (Now be quiet let this person be the first one to speak.)
The person now has agreed for you to show them the business that you’re involved in and your focus is all about getting a referral and not recruiting them or selling them your services or products. If they are interested in what you have they will let you know. If they know somebody who is interested you are likely going to get a referral. Either way there is no pressure on either of you.
Now your next step is to apply this network marketing training this week. Remember that MLM success strategy is only effective if you take action! So go out meet some people do some networking and have fun growing your business.
