MLM Success Strategy – Leads, Leads & More Leads

How would you feel if you had more MLM Leads than you had time to call? Most networkers never reach a point in their business where they create a full time income. One of the major contributors for this sad reality is because they don’t have enough people to share their business with.

Surrounded By Millions of People

Many people lack the know-how in being able to create their own leads and so after they call their friends and family and they reject the opportunity they are out of their business even if they have not officially quit. Why is it that we can live in a country that is so populated we can spend upwards of two hours or more in traffic each day and not have anyone to promote our business to?

Are All Leads, Leads?

Let’s define what a lead is:
- Someone that has expressed an interest in a business, service or product that you are marketing.

Fresh or Aged

New versus Aged Leads: There is a ton of controversy which Lead is best. Lead Venders will take and re-sell a person wanting information about working from home numerous times and some will even re-sell the persons info to other Lead Vendors which in turn re-sell it to their customers.

A Lead’s information can be sold a dozen times in minutes so even though the person’s contact info is fresh it is getting beaten up fast. Lead Vendors will often indicate how exclusive the Lead is but what you need to know also is whether the Vendor generates their own Leads or just re-sell another’s Leads.

When you hear the term “Aged” it usually suggests that the Lead was generated 20 to 30 days from the date of purchase and consequently have been called countless times. Calling “Aged Leads” can be a very emotionally painful experience because the folks have been pitched every conceivable opportunity on the market and they are frustrated by the amount of offerings. You will sense this (LOL) when they give you a tirade about how they want their name taken of “the list” which you now know could be dozens of lists.

Aged Leads Still Have Value

Aged Leads still offer value but given the amount that would need to be called the Aged Leads are better used in a Bulk Email system. These Leads which can be purchased for pennies would receive a series of Emails from you offering them a Web Page to find out how they could earn money from home. Most get caught in Spam filters and many simply get put in the Leads Email Trash Can. Still a small percentage finds real Prospects serious about working from home. This Lead knows your name, is exclusive to you, and is typically very positive about hearing your presentation. Best of all these Leads have a very high conversion rate.

Leader Confused About Leads

I received an Email from a Top Leader in MLM recently and in his email he warned about purchasing Aged Leads. He also said to avoid working with a business where people in the business were given Free Aged Leads – How Absurd! What this Leader was really doing, was pitching his marketing platform. You join his marketing platform which is believed to generate Leads for your business. What he doesn’t tell you however, is just how long that will take, or how much money you will need to spend using his marketing platform, or purchasing his “Must Have Courses” (which he gets a percentage on through affiliate income before you actually get “Fresh Leads For Free”). I am not suggesting that generating your own Leads is a bad idea because it is not. I am also not suggesting that training is unreasonable and that investing in yourself is unreasonable. That being said some people need to earn money now. There is more than one Lead strategy that works, even if they are not effective as a long term approach – they can get you talking to people today!

Lead Generatiion or Creating Your Own Leads – Takes Time

Creating a Blog, Article Marketing, Video Marketing, Social Media Marketing eg Facebook , MySpace etc., and taking a myriad of courses will eventually pay off but if you need money now ….. NOT! These marketing methods are excellent but require you to go through a steep learning curve and once learned require maturation time for you to see results , all of which requires time.

I would encourage anyone wanting to call Leads to consider this…… If you wanted to sell cigarettes would you approach non-smokers or smokers? Obviously smokers! I know of one company that has a team inside of it that gives its new recruits all the free Networker Leads they can call……. To me that is smart. Networker Leads are people that are in the industry already and they believe in it. They are not just Aged they may have been in the industry for years but just lacked support and ….. Leads.
