The Law of Sewing & Reaping

There is a well-known ancient text that states that as you sew, so shall you reap. This is such a simple statement and yet very profound. I have seen highly intelligent people completely miss the significance of this statement. We live in an age where we want everything right now. We don’t like to wait for anything and the problem that this presents for people getting into business is that creating a successful network marketing business requires a continuous persistent effort with a focus on the destination and not on one’s current position.

I’m not sure who the author is but this quote reads “The harder I work the luckier I get.” Nightingale Conant has in their sales catalog a course called “The Law of Large Numbers” and in it it shares with its listeners the simple facts that if you do something enough times you will eventually succeed.

What Is Your Prospect’s Need ?

Obviously a certain amount of success is the result of our own personal skills; however, you only have to watch an episode of American Idol to realize that it’s not singer that decides who wins, but the listener that judges the performance. You may sing great opera but if your audience likes jazz you’re going to get booed. So it’s important to know what your audience wants – what is the problem they’re trying to overcome? If your solution is a match and you have done a good job connecting with the person and engendering trust your prospect will join with you.

Not everybody wants what you have, so your task is to find the people that do. Getting angry with yourself or becoming discouraged with the leads that you purchased is not going to get you really want to go. You have got to decide what it is you want understand that you can find challenges and continue to pursue your objectives until you have achieved them. Expect to be in the trenches for the next 3 to 5 years getting an education in marketing and earning an income while you learn.

It’s A Numbers Game

It is this type of determination that separates the low income earners from the top income earners. The top income earners understand a very basic MLM success strategy which is, if they are to grow their business they need to talk to people, lots of people, lots and lots of people. There are no shortcuts and there is no webpage or new ground floor opportunity that is going to get you to the top quicker than your dogged determination to succeed. If you speak to someone at the bottom of the compensation plan-someone not making very much money you might hear them say this business doesn’t work but interestingly enough they have the same products and same compensation plan as the person earning $1 million a year in that business.

Your Written MLM Success Strategy

Set your goals of what you want to achieve, develop an action plan, worked at action plan and revise it as often as needed. Review your goals daily and make sure that they are very concrete. It does not matter that you’re not earning that amount now, what is important is that you understand that that will be the amount you will earn. You will never hit a target that you don’t aim for. Pretty much everyone hates to fail but it is only through trial and error process that we succeed. Don’t let your ego control your pocketbook. If you are failing at business is because you are making an effort to succeed and over time that will happen provided that you don’t quit. It is not magic, is not luck, it is not about who you know, your gender, your skin color or your age that holds the key to your success. Take out a notebook and write down your MLM success strategy and I’ll see you at the top!
