It is a matter of record that in every economic downturn there is a small group of individuals that prosper to an extreme degree. The masses tend to focus on lack and limitation and as a result they receive that which they think the most about. Over the past 10 years I spoke to a great number of people about becoming entrepreneurs and working for themselves and I have found people fall into two basic groups. The first group are very eager to tell me why working for themselves is not financially viable and my home business could not possibly work for them in their community. The second group and significantly smaller in number, are interested in working for themselves and actively consider and in many cases partner up with me.

In our society we are conditioned to look for what’s wrong and not for what is right.

When you consider that 95% of the population has only 5% of the world’s wealth it would seem reasonable to do the opposite of most people when it comes to making any kind of financial decision. The people who are successful in MLM believe that what they have to offer will make people’s lives better and they simply provide their services at a profit. The people who are unsuccessful self-actualized the stereotypes that most people hold of salespeople.

Classic “Salesperson” Stereotype Is Someone That:

  • will try to sell you something you don’t want
  • will try to sell you something you don’t need
  • will try to sell you something you can afford
  • will try to sell you something you will never use
  • will try to sell you something by bugging you [salespeople bug people]
  • will try to so you something just so they can get a commission

  • With the majority of the population maintaining this type of stereotype definition of a salesperson it is not surprising why so many new entrepreneurs fail and quit their business. They did not believe that they were providing value to the marketplace because they bought into the negativity they believe exists. U.S. Anderson said that while we come to understand that thought causes all, we know that there cannot be any limits that we do not impose.

Our belief system is based on our own evaluation of something and when you hear something even if it’s not true often enough you will begin to accept the lie as a fact. How is it that that 5% of the population do so well when that 95% do so poorly. The fact is, the 5% see only opportunity and abundance and they act in accordance with their belief. If you believe that you have a great opportunity and you are truly thankful for being able to be a part of the business you’re in people will feel it. Conversely if the only people you want to share your business with our people you do not know those people you do not know will sense your lack of belief and they will not join with you.

My MLM success strategy for you is to work with the humble and grateful heart and believe that there is abundance and that competition is not necessary because there is more than enough for everyone. Rid yourself of any reluctance or any misgivings about what you are doing, be genuine and transparent. The secret is that your wealth begins inside of you and then later manifests itself externally around you. Your outside world is only a reflection of your inside world. Believe that you have an abundant future and share that belief and people will be drawn to you.
