Part 2 – My MLM Strategy for you is to work on your communication skills and avoid these deadly marketing mistakes:



Hey What About Me ? – When your prospect says something that they want to do or have done stop competing “ Oh yeah I did that too, in half the time…..” “Oh we’ve already been there….” “ Oh we have more kids than you …..” Your call to your prospect is not about you it is about them. If you want to talk about yourself do it in the morning when you have a shower – get it out of your system this costs tons of lost marketing calls.


He Who Talks Loses Your conversation should be you asking questions and then asking questions on the answers you are getting and then clarifying those answers or asking more questions. Not reversed – if your prospect is asking all the questions you have lost the call unless you get back in control with you asking the questions.



Don’t mix Business with Pleasure - Your call is to market your business, products, or services. Don’t mix catch up calls with business calls. When you do your friend will take your call as a cheap ploy and that you never really called to just chat – you had a hidden agenda – monetizing them. Let your friend know right off the hop the reason I am calling is…… and when you are done get off the phone FAST.



Pitching The Deal With Email – Sending out a broadcast to everyone you know about your business is a great way to alienate yourself from everyone that receives the Email. We get spam on TV, we get Spam in the Mail and we now get Spam in our Email. It is ok to send an email to someone you know if you have asked permission to do so. This shows respect – imagine if you had a friend that never called you by phone or answered your calls by phone or in person they just wrote letters or sent email – It is unnatural and your friend will be suspicious of you if you start your business this way.



Presenting While Inviting – When you invite people to look at your business opportunity do not get caught with the “50 Questions” scenario. When you invite do not get into details because when you do you remove any reason for them to attend a proper presentation. Do not think that your prospect is intelligent enough to just “get it” because they won’t. When you persist they will feel like you are selling them and that will result in them blowing you and your opportunity off.
