13 Productivity Secrets Part One of Three
I recently became involved with a program which has included in it a significant amount of self-development training and so what I’m going to share with you I have bragging rights to because it’s not my information. Mark Hoverson put together a video on his 13 productivity secrets and I know they’ll help you as much as there helping me.
Key Success Factors Secret #1: Sleep
Have a good bedtime ritual – get eight hours of sleep each evening. If you’re tired you need more sleep and if you don’t get it you’re not can it be able to get the same positive results as you could.
Key Success Factors Secret # 2 Clear Your Mind of Anxiety
Begin your work day with heavy breathing type exercise – you don’t have to get crazy about the amount as even five minutes at day can make a huge difference for you.
Key Success Factors Secret # 3 Batters Box Secret
Professional baseball players will spend several hours warming up before game hitting and catching the ball. They will even practice swinging with a heavier bat than they would normally use during a game.
Listen to the Masters – spend 20 minutes a day listening to audios or videos that teach you how to market more effectively.
Key Success Factors Secret # 4 – Turn off the Phone
Use voicemail as your gatekeeper my keeping your phone turned off you are able to avoid interruptions that can cost you valuable focused creative work time. There’s nothing worse than getting focused on a particular project, the creative juices are flowing and everything is coming together and then the phone rings and you can’t remember where you left off when you return back to your work.
You can have a message something like this:
Hi this is [your name] thanks for calling and I want you to know that you’re important to me. I’ll return your call before noon [your time zone] or if you’re calling me in the afternoon I’ll call you back before 5 PM. If you’re calling about [your primary business] make sure you watch the videos I have at my website [your website address] so that we can get the most of our conversation when I call you back. Chat soon bye for now.
Key Success Factors Secret # 5 Never check e-mail Before you sow seeds
Begin your day by creating a piece of marketing material e.g. write an e-zine article; make a YouTube video; post a PPC campaign etc.
“Never, Never, Never”, ever look at e-mail before you complete a money generating activity because if you do you’ll get sucked into the Black Hole of the Internet universe. E-mail and Internet surfing can suck your day out of existence and you haven’t made a dime.
I hope you find this content helpful as much as I have. Not applying Productivity secret number five has destroyed more days of mine than I care to count. Not everything that hits my e-mail tray gets my attention but I am a sucker for spam. In fact I often describe myself as a recovering e-mail addict. Feel free to share any experiences you had dealing with any of these five productivity secrets.
Mark recently put together an amazing course called Information Blueprint. Mark is an amazing marketer and trainer to watch short video on this program click on :
