
You have your mlm lead generation in place and you have lots of prospects to call but your business is not growing. Do you have difficulty sponsoring new consultants into your business? Do you find that you do a great job with your presentation and then after you send them to a corporate video on your business opportunity you call them back they are interested but won’t sign up. So what is at the top recruiters do that you’re not doing what gives them the ability to sign up so many people while you struggle to sign up even one?
No arm-twisting
There’s an old saying that goes like this: A mind convinced against it’s will is of the same opinion still. I don’t believe in yes conditioning simply because it tends to cause tension. People are far more sophisticated these days and they know when you’re trying to put them together. This person is going to become your business partner not just a conquest. I believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated.
What did you like best about what you heard?
After the person has watched your business presentation we are bringing this business connection to a close or completion. Either the person is interested in your business and wants to get started or they do not. Your task is to collect a decision. One of my coaches said I don’t mind a “Yes” and I don’t mind a “No” but the “Maybes” drive me crazy!
Ask your prospect what it is that they liked best about what they saw or heard and then be quiet. Let your prospect speak and don’t interrupt them. They are either going to tell you what they liked or they will tell you that they’re not interested. If they’re not interested let them go. If however, they tell you what they liked ask them to elaborate more on those points that they liked.
Sounds like you’re ready to get started!
Using what is called an assumptive close you make a statement that they are ready to begin. You are not asking them if they are ready to get started, rather you are stating it as a fact. Once you state this you need to be quiet and wait for the prospect to speak which generally will be a “Yes ”.
On a scale of 1 to 10
An alternate approach would be to ask your prospect for them to score them self on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being not interested and 10 being ready to get started immediately. Once they give their score you will know if you have someone is interested or not. If a prospect scores himself at five or less thank them for their interest and let them know that they don’t qualify to go further. Once you have done this pause and see if they challenge you on letting them go. If they score them self between six and nine ask them what it would take to get them up to a 10. If they have any concerns or objections is at this stage that you will find them out.
