Have you ever heard some guy on an opportunity call or at a live business presentation stand up and tell you and everyone else some terribly sad story of being down on their luck but now that they’ve discovered XYZ company, life is perfect. If there is one pet peeve that I have which stands out from all the rest are those people that would have you believe that if you just joined their company your financial problems will be over. This is an mlm scam and if you are going to be successful you will need a real mlm system.
Typical MLM Scam Hype Story:
I was on the verge of bankruptcy, the bank repossessed my vehicles and my credit cards were all canceled. I found myself having to sleep in my son’s 1970 Volkswagen van with only five dollars in silver in my pocket. A friend I knew took me to a hotel meeting and shared his business opportunity with me. Never having done any kind of marketing or sales I was reluctant but my friend insisted and he even put up the money to get me started.
I took the five dollars I had and started dialing names of the phone book and by the end of the day I had sold $1000 of product and earned myself $250. By the end of the year I earned enough money to buy my cars back and even have a $400,000 home paid for in cash. With the bonuses that I have earned and have yet to get paid on we are planning to move to a small Hawaiian island. I have never been successful at network marketing in my life and if I can do this anybody can.
Some Do – Most Don’t
You can go to any carnival and see people walking around with huge stuffed Teddy Bears. These people that have these toys beat the odds which were stacked against them by the people that created the gaming opportunity. They love to have people win and walk around with these trophies because they know that they will attract thousands of dollars of business to them.
Now You Know The Rest Of The Story
You never get to see the countless numbers of people that put up dollar after dollar in their futile attempts to win that stuffed animal and failed. Nor did you find out that the person who shot the toy gun and won the stuffed animal just happened to be a top marksman at a nearby rifle range. Or perhaps was with the carnival for the past 20 years and has had 20 years of experience shooting at targets with these toy guns.
There are some “Overnight Success Stories” that are reality based; however, there are probably some facts that have not been shared with you.
Six MLM System Questions You Need To Ask:
1. How many years have you been in the industry?
2. Do you have a personal coach working directly with you?
3. Did you receive guidance from experts in the industry?
4. What kind of work background do you come from?
5. Have you earned a full-time income in sales in the past? If so how much?
6. Is there a success duplicatable -if you follow the same steps they did?
I have a “Ground floor” opportunity for you, if you act right now. Marketers will sometimes offer inside information that is either time-limited or supply limited. When you consider that 95% of all businesses fail within their first five years a ground floor opportunity does not guarantee a better shot at replacing your job than gambling your house in Vegas and winning.
Integrity Exists In The MLM Industry
I want you to understand that I am not bashing the network marketing industry because I believe that it offers the best opportunity to become independently successful in America today. The purpose of this article is to caution you against being sucked in by a scam professional. Their business may be genuine their products may be great but your chances of success in their business may be significantly exaggerated or inferred.
There are reputable people involved in the industry the challenge for you will be to locate them before the wolves find you.

When someone starts to share with you a story of how they fell off a banana truck and became successful run from them. There are no shortcuts and this is not a Lotto. You can succeed if you are prepared to work hard and perhaps harder than you ever have in your life. It won’t be easy but it will be worth it.
Do You Fly With Eagles Or Turkeys
Regardless of the company you are marketing for you require an mlm system that offers marketing education and training by successful people. If you hang around people with the flu you will get sick; if you hang around broke people you will likely remain or become broke if you take their advice; however, if you associate with successful people and act on their advice you will likely become successful yourself.
