MLM Help With Prospecting can significantly increase the number of people that you’re bringing into your business and when done properly will help you get rid of 99% all the rejection you’re now getting.
When I first got started in network marketing my presentations were very clumsy and very confrontational. Often I did the classic ”Hey how’s it going? I got a great business you’re going to make $1 million doing so I need you to join my business”. This approach typically resulted in the Thanks, let me think, and over I’ll get back to you. I was told that the more no’s you receive the closer your getting to yes. Since I wasn’t really aware that my approach was a bad one I just did lots more of them. I really bought into the idea that the MLM industry is a numbers game. 10 years into marketing I still believe that the numbers game but my focus has shifted away from sign people up to make me wealthy to helping others achieve the goals they have.
Jeffrey Combs, a very successful network marketer, talks about using the ABC approach to marketing. The acronym for ABC is A-Always / B-Be C-Closing. Using the always be closing philosophy simply suggests that in any conversation you should be closing for some sort of decision. This is done by asking questions, for example asking your prospect if the right opportunity came along would you be open to taking a look at. When I first got started I would’ve said I’ve got a great opportunity I want you to take a look at. Though the latter will work it tends to put pressure on the person speaking to and the relationship you have with a person.
Asking questions and collecting decisions is far more effective than pushing somebody into giving you an answer they don’t want to give. If your prospect feels you are more concerned about making a commission than about helping them it is highly unlikely you will bring them into your business or sell them any of your products or services. Your products and services combined with your business supply you with an arsenal of tools to help people solve their problems in our current economy. Take on the role of the consultant and get rid of any idea that you’re trying to sell somebody something. All you do is ask questions and offer up solutions.
When someone talks about how tough the economy is you could agree with them and go about your day or you could say: ”you’re right the economy is not doing very well. Some people have actually figured out a way to profit so much from the recession they’re actually able to leave their jobs and work full-time from home.” By making a statement like that the natural response most people have is: “Really, and what is it they’re doing?” By using this approach you are attracting them to you without any rejection. A simple follow-up to this question could be: “Actually these guys are getting together tonight to talk about it. I don’t have time right now to get into it. If there was a way you could make an extra couple thousand a month without quitting your job or investing a bunch of money would you be interested? The prospect says: “Yes” I’ve got to run is there a number that I can reach you at and I get you some information to look at? “ The Prospect gives you their information – again without any rejection. Then you follow up with do have an e-mail address so I could shoot you some stuff to? Your prospect now gives you their e-mail address and again with no rejection.
You now have a prospect that cost you nothing to acquire, your prospect told you they were interested in learning more, and they willingly gave you their name, phone number and e-mail address. If you want to learn more about how to approach people I have a 60 minute video that you can watch for free.
