Every one that joins a network marketing business must prospect for MLM home based business leads that ultimately will become the gold of their business.

GoldRush To Find MLM Home Based Business Leads Requires Picks and Shovels

The winter of 1848, gold was discovered at Coloma and the California gold rush quickly began. Many folks sold everything they had in hopes of making the big strike, yet sadly most found only broken dreams. For many this is the case in network marketing, with over 97% investing their money with the hope of striking it rich or at least living comfortable for the rest of their life.

When the gold rush began all those miners needed picks and shovels and numerous supplies to launch their hunt for those nuggets of gold. Small mining towns began to appear and provided the necessary supplies to the miners. Every minor needed a pick and shovel and while they didn’t always find gold they gave their money to the shopkeepers who supplied them. Many of those shopkeepers also hunted for gold and some even found it. The shopkeepers who prospected for gold did not rely on finding gold to sustain themselves while they hunted for it.

There was nothing unethical about the shopkeepers investing their money in setting up implement stores. The need was there and they provided a necessary service. Nobody that went hunting for gold would have said that their primary purpose was to buy picks and shovels, it was simply just necessary to have them in order to find the gold.

In network marketing you also do prospecting (for MLM home based business leads) and just like the miners you need to have an MLM version of a pick and shovel. If you do not have any immediate success in your prospecting efforts how will you fund your business in six months? If you are not funded effectively just like the miners of 1948 your efforts will collapse and with it, any investment you made up to that point.

When you bring a new representative into your team it is your responsibility to advise them on what they will need for tools and funding in order for them to be successful. You will want to teach them how to prospect effectively. Too many people get involved in network marketing and have absolutely no support or training in how to prospect and then they end up quitting. The average length of time that it takes for a new distributor to join and then quit their network marketing business is approximately 63 days.

Okay, so you want to be a success and you don’t want to fail within the national average of 63 days, but you don’t have very much money to build your business and you need to have funding. What if you sold some picks and shovels to some miners until you were able to find enough gold that you could live off your primary business income? In other words, what if you were able to help people who are involved network marketing by providing them with the training and tools they need and it helped offset your operating expenses? You provided a needed service and in exchange you are compensated for your efforts.

With over 15 million people involved in network marketing and 97% of them in need of help, it would seem ridiculous to not help them if it will help you fund your business. I struggled with the idea of doing affiliate marketing for a long time because I felt that it was a distraction from my business. Over time however, it became apparent to me that if I helped people in their existing businesses other than my own, I would then create a relationship of trust. Many of those people I helped would over time want to work with me in my own business. Zig Ziegler said that if you help enough people get what they want you will get everything that you want.

As a result of this new understanding that I had in the summer of 2009 I teamed up with a group of MLM leaders that come from a variety of MLM businesses to share our knowledge and tools so that others may experience the success that we have. Are these tools really necessary or are they just a money grab? Let me pose this scenario to you: a man works in a rice field with an ox and a wooden cultivator planting a crop, works tirelessly 12 hours a day for two weeks. Or, a 16-year-old boy sitting in an air-conditioned $500,000 tractor pulling a $200,000 Seeder listening to the latest rock music working only one 12 hour day and yet gets 100 times the amount of work done compared to the man and ox were able to accomplish in two weeks.

Tools do make a difference in prospecting for MLM home based business leads. It makes more sense to work smart and hard than it does to just work hard. If you would like to see a tool that can help you fund your primary business and help others in the process click on Picks and Shovels.
