Which Approach Works Best? Would You Like To Know……?



Have you been wondering if you should use online methods or should you use face to face marketing? This is a question that has grown into a real buzz over the past 5 years. Have you been struggling with using the 3 foot bump into philosophy or do you find calling cold market home based business leads more painful?  Each person that comes into network marketing with strengths and weaknesses, so how do you decide which is best for you? Does one way stand out as the best?



In this writer’s opinion it does not matter which reaching out method you use to get home based business leads because at the end of the day it comes down to you and your ability to connect with your prospect. Network marketing is all about creating relationships and helping people achieve success in their business. Think of the Internet like an ad in the newspaper – the newspaper is reaching out to people 24 hours a day as long as someone sees the ad. They call in and ask for information about your business which is the same basic process that happens via the net.



If you feel more comfortable having a coffee with a friend or an acquaintance and sharing your business than posting a Blog and article marketing or pay per click then do what works for you. I would say that regardless of your personal preference act as a resource to help your new representative build their business the way they choose. Also it is important to consider building equity in your business and that is accomplished by having your new representative bring in several people they know. It would be very unlikely your new representative would drop out if they brought in a couple people they know.



Imagine this conversation taking place…..



Eg. “Hey John can you give me some coaching on how to market this product we have?” “Oh sorry Bill, I know you paid 500.00 to get in but after they paid me a commission for signing you up I decided to quit while I was ahead……good luck though!”



John will stay in this business for at least 3 months if for no other reason than a sense of obligation to his friend. This gives you 3 months to work with John and his new people and help them grow their business. Obviously if your home based business leads are joining and their businesses are a successful why would they want to quit. So building equity can be a very effective strategy in your business. We all have a sphere of influence and getting a check in your new representative’s hands will go a long way to keeping them motivated.



I believe in leverage – working smarter not harder. There are a number of ways you can leverage yourself and grow your business online that have some huge advantages. When you post a great article on the net and it ranks well, it can be seen by millions of people around the clock and can be viewed for ever as it will never come down though over time it may lose it’s position on a Google search. At present there are over 1.7 billion people connected to the internet which means you have a very large exposure even for a niche product or service. In your community the population maybe a couple thousand and you may think that there is anyone interested in what you have to market but imagine if you were marketing on the net….. do you think that out of 1.7 billion people there might be 1 or 2 interested in what you have.



Avoid saying things like:



I can’t do it that way! Or



I would never do that! Or



I would not feel comfortable doing that! Or



I am too old to change my ways!



Now if you are already making lots of money doing things your way fine, but if not don’t put limits on what you can do. Just Do It! However you choose to reach out you need to generate traffic to your opportunity.

Traffic –> Leads –> Prospects –> Conversion = Lifestyle



Regardless of the reaching out method you to gather home based business leads you still need to present yourself as someone that people would want to follow. Get out a piece of paper and write out as many reasons you can think of why joining with you in your business would be a better choice than the guy down the street or on the net. Your prospect needs to feel an irresistible urge to join with you and you alone. You will not have any significant success until you have completed this exercise or at least be able to quickly and confidently answer this question.



Most network marketing companies have replicated websites for their representatives to show off their products and services but this will never brand you as a leader whether you work your business on line or offline. Establishing yourself can be very challenging if you are not familiar with the online world.
