There is a well-known ancient text that states that as you sew, so shall you reap. This is such a simple statement and yet very profound. I have seen highly intelligent people completely miss the significance of this statement. We live in an age where we want everything right now. We don’t like to wait for anything and the problem that this presents for people getting into business is that creating a successful network marketing business requires a continuous persistent effort with a focus on the destination and not on one’s current position.

I’m not sure who the author is but this quote reads “The harder I work the luckier I get.” Nightingale Conant has in their sales catalog a course called “The Law of Large Numbers” and in it it shares with its listeners the simple facts that if you do something enough times you will eventually succeed.

What Is Your Prospect’s Need ?

Obviously a certain amount of success is the result of our own personal skills; however, you only have to watch an episode of American Idol to realize that it’s not singer that decides who wins, but the listener that judges the performance. You may sing great opera but if your audience likes jazz you’re going to get booed. So it’s important to know what your audience wants – what is the problem they’re trying to overcome? If your solution is a match and you have done a good job connecting with the person and engendering trust your prospect will join with you.

Not everybody wants what you have, so your task is to find the people that do. Getting angry with yourself or becoming discouraged with the leads that you purchased is not going to get you really want to go. You have got to decide what it is you want understand that you can find challenges and continue to pursue your objectives until you have achieved them. Expect to be in the trenches for the next 3 to 5 years getting an education in marketing and earning an income while you learn.

It’s A Numbers Game

It is this type of determination that separates the low income earners from the top income earners. The top income earners understand a very basic MLM success strategy which is, if they are to grow their business they need to talk to people, lots of people, lots and lots of people. There are no shortcuts and there is no webpage or new ground floor opportunity that is going to get you to the top quicker than your dogged determination to succeed. If you speak to someone at the bottom of the compensation plan-someone not making very much money you might hear them say this business doesn’t work but interestingly enough they have the same products and same compensation plan as the person earning $1 million a year in that business.

Your Written MLM Success Strategy

Set your goals of what you want to achieve, develop an action plan, worked at action plan and revise it as often as needed. Review your goals daily and make sure that they are very concrete. It does not matter that you’re not earning that amount now, what is important is that you understand that that will be the amount you will earn. You will never hit a target that you don’t aim for. Pretty much everyone hates to fail but it is only through trial and error process that we succeed. Don’t let your ego control your pocketbook. If you are failing at business is because you are making an effort to succeed and over time that will happen provided that you don’t quit. It is not magic, is not luck, it is not about who you know, your gender, your skin color or your age that holds the key to your success. Too often people get involved in Network Marketing and only go through the motions of what is needed and within a few short weeks they fail. I have recruited dozens of people that told me they would prefer to purchase leads than to generate their own MLM leads by contacting people that they know about their opportunity, their products or services until they had been in the business for a while.

Not surprisingly, these people rarely ever signed anyone up into their business and invariably became frustrated and would quit before giving their business a serious go. So what was the problem with and not wanting to approach their friends and family or people in their local community? I believe that it comes down to ethics not MLM secrets. This person does not believe in what he is doing him because he is not convinced that what he has to offer is sound so the people that he calls over the phone can feel it in his voice and reject the offer. They can hear the dishonesty coming through the phone. Recall the last time you got really excited about something. You told everybody that you knew about this amazing discovery. You got so passionate that you got them excited about it as well.

I Had A Dream:

Remember when you were in school and your teacher would read from a textbook and his voice would put you to sleep. Now think of someone that taught you and when they would read they had you sitting on the edge of your chair. Throughout history we have had powerful leaders and every one of them was a strong communicator. They put conviction in their voice and when they spoke people believed in them. Think of the words of Winston Churchill “… We shall never, never give up! ” Martin Luther King “….I had a dream…!

You can have great products and services and you can have an excellent compensation plan but if you’re not excited about what you’re doing you’re not going to make a dime! If you’re not comfortable marketing your products and services to the people you care about or offer your MLM business opportunity to people you respect then save your money and go get a part time job.

Are You A Leader or a Follower:

Why would you expect someone to join your business when you don’t even believe in it yourself? If you want success then approach your MLM business with passion and belief and when you do you will find that your business will reflect your mindset! People are looking for leaders with vision and conviction-people that know where they’re going so the question is are you that can a person? I recommend that you do an inventory on yourself-do you have the conviction and passion that others are looking for in you?

So in summary your most critical factors to having winning mlm success strategy are to 1. have a strong belief that what you are marketing helps people and 2. for you to be passionate in reaching out to people with it. If you wink in the dark the only person that will know you did will be you. If you had a cure for cancer you wouldn’t keep it a secret. Get excited….use your products and services and make it your mission to help people with them.

What Do You Want For Your Life?

The first 40 years that I was on this planet I spent very little time in deep thought giving consideration about the things that I wanted to achieve. Most times I was simply caught up in the day-to-day existence of my life. Without setting any goals of significance I never had to fear failure or at least so I thought. I have spoke to many people over the years that echoed a similar sentiment: all I don’t want to get my hopes up, I might get disappointed! The truth is fear holds us back when we don’t face it and I have learned that a little short term pain can open up a life of long term gain.

Dream The Dream

My advice is to dream the dream and then seek to live your dream. Optimists see the world the way it could be, and themselves the way they choose to be. Pessimists see only lack and limitation, their cup is always half-empty and they feel doomed to a fate they have no control over. One of my coaches said to me, Chuck if you want to change your life then you’re going to have to change your life. I did.

This is not politically correct and I will likely get slammed by all the systems people but saying something is simple is not the same as it being simple. I recall one Guru proudly stating to a following that it was critical that we make this business sound real easy. Well guys, I have no idea how the remote for my TV actually works electronically but I know enough to change the channels, tun up the volume and turn it off and on. Frankly I just don’t care about squeeze pages and long tail key words. All I want to do is share my business with some people that would be interested enough to listen and perhaps join.

Who was it that said people don’t want 1/2 inch cordless drills …… all they really want is 1/2 inch holes. What if there was a list that you could access that already had 500 million names on it and you could have free access to it? What if you did not have to become a techno maniac to use?
